May 3: Deadline for Mecklenburg County Residents to Complete Applications for Services
Due to the demand of neighbors in need in Mecklenburg County, Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte has put into effect a deadline of Friday, May 3 for Mecklenburg County residents to complete an application for our services.
Four North Mecklenburg County neighborhoods are exceptions to the deadline, so residents in Davidson West, East Catawba, Pottstown, and Smithville may continue to apply for critical home repair and accessibility modification services through RTGC.
Services will continue in all of Mecklenburg County even while applications are closed.
June 4: Rebuild the Roost at NoDa Brewing
[Re]Build the Roost is an uplifting community event in Charlotte, where neighbors come together to celebrate the work of RTGC, build birdhouses, and raise money to support critical home repairs and accessibility modifications for neighbors in need.
The event will feature a silent auction of professionally designed birdhouses and a 50/50 raffle!
June 26-28: She Builds at My Sister’s House
RTGC’s first She Builds project will help revitalize My Sister’s House, a transitional living program that empowers single, adult women to become self-sufficient. In the project, we’ll conduct many repairs and modifications over three volunteer days. To learn more about partnering with us on this project, click the button below.
July 12: Unum Tour Benefit Concert with Ben O’Connor at Heist Brewery & Barrel Arts
Ben O’Connor's Unum Tour is a national concert series dedicated to unifying Americans in support of U.S. military veterans. Tour stops will showcase original songs and stories rooted in love for family, community, and country by Country Music Artist Ben O’Connor and special guests.
As part of the concert to Charlotte on Friday, July 12 at Heist Brewery & Barrel Arts, 50% of each ticket sold will support RTGC’s efforts to provide safe and healthy homes for everyone.
